-------------------------------------------------------ABSTRACT--------------------------------------------------The study attempted an evaluation of environmental and health effect of Nichemtex Industry after ten (10) years a similar study was carried out. Textile industry is composed of a diverse, fragmented group of establishments that produce and or process textile-related products for further processing into apparel, home furnishing and industrial goods. These processes undoubtedly generate different kinds of wastes and discharge into the environment. These generated wastes and their effects on the environment were examined and evaluated in relation to the self-reported ill health of residents in the study area.
